Course Journal: Reading the Round

1) Open with Tempo

Early holes reward patience. Set tempo with conservative targets and commit to a repeatable pre-shot routine.

2) Wind & Lie Awareness

Coastal air shifts quickly. Note wind direction on the walk; adjust club selection before addressing the ball.

3) Green Entry Angles

Favor the side that opens the green. A safer angle often produces a better look than a longer carry.

4) Close with Discipline

Late-round decisions matter most. Protect score with smart layups and confident putting.

Good golf is quiet decisions made consistently.

Play Tips

Keep notes after each round: misses, wind reads, and club choices. Patterns appear quickly when written down.
